What is PDCPD?
PDCPD, short for Polydicyclopentadiene, is a high-performance thermosetting polymer processed primarily via Reaction Injection PDCPD, short for Polydicyclopentadiene, is a high-performance thermosetting polymer processed primarily via Reaction Injection Molding (RIM). It is mainly used to replace SMC (Sheet Molding Compound), FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) and some metals in manufacturing structural parts and exterior components for industrial applications.
Its core advantages can be summarized in 3 points:
Balanced Performance: It maintains high impact resistance even at low temperatures, while also having good rigidity and dimensional stability. It is resistant to corrosion from acids, alkalis, solvents, etc., and requires no additional protective coatings.
